The latest Coronation Street spoilers suggest a revenge plot between David and Kit later this month, just before New Year’s. David has now learned about Kit and Shona’s relationship and the night they spent in the hotel, and he is scheming to jeopardize Kit’s career. While Shona tries to keep it a secret and tells David that she is at Adam’s, the truth is out during David’s encounter with Adam. However, we can’t completely blame Shona for this – because David has blocked all access to her son Clayton, who is in prison. Maybe Shona did this out of revenge. But what will Kit do once David gets to him?
David’s Misunderstanding; Shona’s Regrets
Even though Shona slept with Kit and lied about it, she now regrets her decision. Over Christmas, David thought that Adam had done “it” with Shona. He even schemes against him—gets him drunk, encounters him, and almost pushes him down the stairs. While that happened, the whole Platt family came out and witnessed it. It was an embarrassing moment for everyone, and things were only about to worsen.
A public row has broken out between David and Kit at the cobbles, and now everyone is involved. Bernie tries to remind him that Kit’s late brother Paul was his friend and didn’t deserve the violence. But David is not the one to let things go so easily. Back at home, Max and Lily both wait for answers, and Shona recalls how David blocked all her access to Clayton’s when her son needed her the most.
David’s Shrewed Plan
David plans to contact Kit and trick him into confessing and then breaking the police’s rules on the Nathan Curtis case. But Kit is not a fool; he is a cop and clearly knows his ways around these things. Besides, Kit is stronger than him, and I think David is a tad bit afraid that he may be unable to take him in – though there’s no way he will accept it.
Jack P Shepherd, who plays David, recently told Digital Spy and other press: “I think David will react in a way where he’ll have to try and get his own back on Kit somehow. He’ll have to try to do it in a clever way. With Kit being six feet taller than David, he won’t be able to take him on physically! It’ll have to be something that he does mentally. He’ll do something to mess Kit’s life up somehow.
