Described as “nightmare neighbours”, Mick and Lou will be moving into Mawdsley Street in the upcoming episodes. Lou, played by Hegarty, will make her first appearance on February 12, reconnecting with Gemma Winter-Brown.
Lou is full of energy, known to stir things up, and has a strong but unpredictable personality. More sources say that she will seem fiercely loyal to Mick, and together, they will make a formidable pair. Mick, portrayed by Layton, will come after two days, on February 14, and will probably be revealed as the man behind the wheel of the silver van. We already know that a silver van has been tormenting Chesney Brown for weeks now.

Mick and Lou aren’t just disruptive neighbours—they have connections that run deeper than anyone in the Weatherfield realises. Sources reveal that the duo will probably have hidden ties with detective Kit Green. Rumours are, we will get to unearth Kit’s shady past through them which might bring in some explosive revelations.
Speaking about the role, Farrel Hegarty shared her excitement and expressed how she is enjoying the good and bad parts of her career. Joe Layton has expressed his enthusiasm by joining her, saying that he’s really lucky to appear in such an iconic show with Farrel.
