Coronation Street Spoilers confirm Drama in Weatherfield next week as Lauren Bolton is in grave danger of finding herself behind bars—this time, for a rash move that will change everything. The plot starts when Betsy Swain unravels after her experience at Ken Barlow‘s residence in the tumultuous siege on Rob Donovan.
With the ghastly realization that she might have incurred a life-changing wound from having been shot, Betsy searches for someone to lash out at—and her anger squarely falls on Tracy McDonald.
Coronation Street: Temper Rises As Betsy Blames Tracy!
It is down to a Coronation Street source that Betsy takes Tracy to task at the café, claiming that she risked her own life. None of it would have occurred if Tracy hadn’t harbored deadly Rob Donovan to start with, Betsy fumes. Not surprisingly, Tracy isn’t intimidated and fires back with as much vitriol as she receives. But far from calming Betsy down, her aggressive response serves only to escalate her anger.
Seething with anger at Tracy’s lack of guilt, Betsy loses her temper and takes drastic measures—attacking the florist van and destroying its contents in a rage. But just as she’s in the process, Lauren happens upon her and realizes what’s going on. When they both spot Tracy walking towards them from afar, Lauren makes a split-second decision that might get her into hot water.
Crash, Panic, and a Terrifying Realisation
Panicked and desperate to avoid confronting Betsy, Lauren leaps into the florist van and zooms off with Betsy in tow. There’s only one gigantic problem—Lauren is not licensed to drive. What starts out as a desperate flight goes rapidly haywire.
Lauren’s lack of driving experience causes a disaster as the van rips through Weatherfield. She crashes the vehicle, which is left badly smashed up outside the precinct. The crash shakes both girls, but things are set to get worse for Lauren.
Our informant reports that Lauren decides this is just the time to tell Betsy that she never did pass her driving test after all. She concedes she never should have been driving.
Their worry goes into high gear when they see a police vehicle drive by, pulling up close. A prank that had begun so harmlessly has quickly escalated into a much more severe situation. Lauren and Betsy both might have to face punishment. Considering Lauren’s recent run-in with the law related to the Joel Deering matter, she’s well aware of how detrimental this could be to her life, her future, and baby Frankie’s, too.
While Lauren works to understand what she’s done wrong, the ultimate question remains unanswered. Will she and Betsy be able to talk their way out of this situation? Or will one slip-up lock them back up for good? Only the upcoming Coronation Street spoilers can reveal. Until then, stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more soap updates.
