There is a lot of mystery surrounding Joel Deering these days on Coronation Street. The criminal was recently exposed for having groomed and abused Lauren Bolton. Following the revelation, his partner, Dee-Dee, broke their relationship off, and he has been facing criminal charges in court.
However, everything turned upside down when Joel Deering left a disturbing voice message on Dee-Dee’s phone begging for her forgiveness and expressing regret over everything he had done previously. Later, his car was found abandoned beneath a viaduct. After checking out the car, and listening to the voice message Joel left Dee-Dee, DS Lisa Swain declared that she thinks he had taken his own life, and they are now looking for his body.
Although some spoilers tease that Lisa may have been too quick to reach the judgment. Joel Deering could still very much be alive and on the run. But, that’s a story for another day. Today, we discuss the difficult scene Calum Lill filmed as Joel Deering reigh before he vanished into thin air.
Shortly before he disappeared, Joel had barged into Roy’s Rolls and had an outburst. He tore the phone off the wall and smashed it. His behaviour left Roy completely rattled and shaking in his shoes. However, in reality, it was the Joel actor, Callum Lill, who was terrified of filming the scene. He took to his Instagram account to share the experience.
“Not gonna lie, having to be mean to the nation’s sweetheart Roy Cropper was one of the hardest scenes I’ve had to act in!” Callum revealed. Furthermore, he added that David who plays Roy is incredible and that it was an incredible honor to have worked with him. He even added a hashtag to his post that said – Roy Cropper Is Innocent!
