Actress Denise Black is best known for her role as Denise Osbourne on Coronation Street. However, the legendary actress is now making waves for a different show altogether. And her presence on it absolutely enthralling, might we add. Partly because of her acting prowess, and partly because of her jaw-dropping new look. She is almost unrecognizable in her new venture!
As we previously reported, Denise Black is featuring in a Disney+ series, titled Rivals. The show also stars big names such as David Tennant, Emily Atack, and Aiden Turner. The saucy drama is an eight-part series and stars Denise in a prominent role. But the look she is sporting in it is poles apart from anything we have seen her in before. It almost took us a few blinks to register!
In the series, she plays Joyce Madden David Tennant’s secretary. David’s character is a TV station boss Lord named Tony Baddingham. Rivals is originally a Hulu series, but it is available for streaming on Disney+ in the UK. Denise filmed her scenes with the big-wigs last year in a spectacular new look. It has a very 80’s vibe to it, as she is seen sporting classic 80s fashion, short blonde hair, and thinly framed glasses.
As for the drama, is a raunchy drama set in the 1980s in the fictional countryside county of Rutshire. It is an adaptation of the popular novel Rivals, that was penned by Jilly Cooper in 1988. The story chronicles the intense rivalry between TV station controller Tony and charismatic ex-Olympian and Conservative MP Rupert Campbell-Black.
