Actor Emrhys Cooper arrived on Coronation Street as Rowan Cunliffe earlier this year and instantly became a hit with the fans, despite his shady character. Rowan was initially introduced as the leader of a self-help group called The Institute. Unfortunately, his evil ways were exposed when he targeted Leanne and succeeded in making her part of the group.
She was so taken by Rowan that she completely refused to accept that he was a wicked cult leader. She became so deeply involved with the group that she eventually alienated her husband and sister. This caused them to seek comfort in each other, and ultimately Nick and Toyah started a full-blown romance.
But all that now seems to be a thing of the past as Leanne has woken up and smelled the coffee. She now clearly sees that Rowan Cunliffe had been pulling wool over her eyes. The latest Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Leanne has now resolved to not only expose but take him down for good.
Nick offered to help the cause and met DS Swain with a book full of evidence against Rowan, eventually leading to the cult leader’s arrest. Even though his run has come to and on Corrie ( for now), Emrhys Cooper has been keeping himself quite busy. The fine actor took to his official Instagram account to tease his next project.
