Actor Graeme Hawley is famous for playing the villainous John Stape on ITV’s Coronation Street. The portrayal was so epic that Graeme became a household name in no time! However, the actor bowed out of the soap as the baddie in 2011, after having debuted in 2007. The latest reports reveal that the actor has landed a new role on the soap – Doctors.
Graeme Hawley will appear on Doctors next week and will be portraying a character named Jason Chapman. His episode is named – Sucker Punch. The synopsis of it reads as follows: “Graham is out to cause trouble, Rosie puts her plan into action, and Luca is pushed to the limit. Michelle treats FME patient Erika and is concerned that she is hiding something.”
While the synopsis reveals absolutely nothing about Graeme’s role as Jason, we are certain that it will be an impactful one. The actor has proven his acting prowess through his role as John Stape on Coronation Street. Even though it has been well over a decade since we last saw him, not many will forget his powerful performance in the soap. Especially in the episodes that lead to his exit.
The 2011 episodes saw John Stape’s secret life of crime getting exposed. At the time, he was married to Fiz Dobbs, and they had a daughter together- Hope Stape. His exit storyline saw him dying when his car crashed into a lorry during a chase with Kevin Webster. That was the last we saw of him on the soap.
