After everything that has already happened, the actor’s chilling comments suggest that Theo’s jealousy and obsession may push him toward another deadly act.
Billy’s Death Proved Theo Is Capable Of Killing
Fans still remember the shocking moment that exposed just how dangerous Theo can be. During the Corridale crash, Theo deliberately strapped Billy’s seatbelt back in so that Billy would remain trapped in the vehicle. The sinister move cleared the path for Theo to have Todd all to himself, ultimately leading to Billy’s death.
That moment confirmed Theo’s darker instincts and showed viewers that he is capable of extreme actions when he feels threatened or jealous. Now, as the storyline continues to unfold, Cartwright has warned that the character’s behaviour is only becoming more disturbing.
Speaking about upcoming scenes, the actor revealed that Theo is tightening his grip on Todd in a deeply manipulative way. By this point in the story, Theo has already taken control of Todd’s finances and knows Todd has no money to pay for a birthday lunch.
Despite knowing this, Theo deliberately puts Todd in an impossible situation. At the restaurant, he encourages everyone to order freely and casually tells them that Todd will cover the bill. Cartwright explained that Theo knows exactly what will happen and sets the entire situation up in advance.

When Todd’s card is inevitably declined, Theo jumps in immediately to play the saviour. In front of everyone, he mocks Todd’s financial skills and steps forward to pay the bill himself, presenting himself as the supportive partner fixing Todd’s mistake.
But according to Cartwright, the moment is nothing more than a calculated humiliation. Theo deliberately makes Todd look incapable so that others will believe Todd cannot manage life without him. The actor explained that Theo is working hard to make Todd feel completely dependent.
Once they return home, Theo drops the public act entirely. Away from the restaurant and prying eyes, he confronts Todd and the argument quickly escalates into something much darker. Cartwright explained that violence can grow more extreme when it goes unchallenged, and in Theo’s case it becomes another way to control the relationship. Theo also uses the physical difference between them to his advantage. As a larger, muscular scaffolder, he imposes that physical presence on Todd to ensure he gets what he wants, turning intimidation into yet another tool of control.
