Coronation Street fans were truly stunned when it was revealed that Joel Deering had indeed died. Previously, he left a concerning voice message on Dee-Dee’s phone, and it made DS Lisa Swain conclude that it was a suicide note and that the man intended to take his own life. Furthermore, she declared that they were now looking for Joel’s dead body.
A search for Joel’s body duly began on Coronation Street. The spoilers confirm that Kit Green finds Joel’s body floating in the water after some children discover it while playing. Although initially, DS Swain assumed it to be a suicide, the investigation will soon turn into a murder investigation. But who could’ve killed the villain?
Lauren Bolton, Max Turner, and Ed Baily are all on the list if top suspects, and Kit Green has resolved to unravel the mystery. “Kit’s priority is to get down to the bottom of who killed Joel. He knows someone is lying, everyone is acting shifty on the street and there are a few potential culprits,” actor Jacob Roberts told the media.
He is willing to do anything it takes to find the killer. Jacob pointed out that Kit Green has a terrible habit of justifying his bad behaviours to get what he wants. Thus, he truly feels that if he finds the killer, it will justify anything and everything that he does to get the job done. “Kit is glad Joel is dead, but he’s equally gutted that he never got to bring him to justice and see him rot in jail,” the actor added.
