This week, Paul passed away with his final moments shared with Bernie, Gemma, and stepdaughter Summer. Off-screen, the actress revealed how her wife’s support had been a lifesaver while filming the emotional scenes.
The pair have been happily married since 2015. Jane’s wife, Isobel Middleton, is also an actress famous for Emmerdale and EastEnders. In a conversation with the Liverpool Echo, the Corrie star admitted how tough it is to film emotionally charged scenes, saying she feels like ‘an absolute wreck.’
She then recounted a heartfelt moment of support from her wife. Jane mentioned, “I couldn’t actually open this script at home because I didn’t want to have that hanging around my dining room if you know what I mean. Hence, her wife took her to a charming shepherd’s hut in Northumbria.
