‘I Believe In Fairytales’ Says Ruxandra Porojnicu
Ruxandra Porojnicu (Alina Pop) recently did a new steamy photoshoot. She spilled the beans on why she had been single for three years. Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, the actress revealed that she still believes in fairytales, which she thinks might be why she’s currently single.
She said, “Men do slide into my DMs. But I’m more of a romantic person and would love to meet someone in real life when out and about or in a coffee shop.” Having been single for the past few years, she dreams of finding true love someday.
The soap star also mentioned that although she has briefly explored online dating, her primary focus remains on her career. She admitted, “I tried the dating apps once, but they are not really my cup of tea.” According to her, a pretty picture doesn’t reveal much about a person.
The ITV star emphasised that understanding someone’s personality, thoughts, and attitude is crucial, rather than just their appearance. She confessed that being very career-driven, she finds it challenging to balance socialising with her busy schedule. Hence, she prefers meeting people organically.
She added that she is open to dating anyone from any industry as long as they are kind, genuine, and beautiful both inside and out. Viewers must recall that the character’s romance with Tyrone led to a split with Fiz. However, it eventually ended in heartbreak when Tyrone chose Fiz over Alina.
Consequently, she left Weatherfield, hinting at a pregnancy. Fans wondered if she was still expecting, And guess what? She is back with a bang. Next week, Tyrone discovers he has a son, little Dorin, with Alina. Meanwhile, Ruxandra loves her time with the adorable two-year-old Henry, who plays her son.
She mentioned that working with Henry had a profound personal impact on her, as he reminded her of her niece and nephew. She described working with the two-year-old as a ‘beautiful’ and ‘unique’ experience. Henry referred to her and Alan as Mummy Alina and Daddy Tyrone, perfectly matching the scenes.
One thing is sure: this baby bombshell is soon going to cause a lot of chaos. Till then, for more Coronation Street updates, stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily! So, are you excited for the upcoming episodes? Also, let us hope Ruxandra find the love of her life soon!
