A vicious bully is returning to Coronation Street, and Maria Connor has her sleeves rolled up to face him! Actress Samia Longchambon, who is popular for portraying Maria on CS, recently revealed to the media that a huge and explosive storyline is coming for her towards the end of 2024. Previously, we saw her stand in support of her son, Liam, when he was facing bullying.
Maria was pivotal to the high-stakes but heartbreaking storyline where her son Liam was contemplating taking his own life due to the pressure and stress of being bullied by Mason. Thankfully, his parents found him in time and stopped him from harming himself. Furthermore, they gave him the courage to open up about everything that he was facing.
Liam even told them that Mason had threatened him with a knife. The revelation eventually put Mason behind bars. However, he has since been released and has been trying to settle back into a normal life. He even expressed his desire to save enough money to be able to move back closer to cobbles.

Samia Longchambon recently opened up about the upcoming track where she will clash with the bully because she wouldn’t want to see Mason anywhere near her son. “Mason is going to ruffle Maria’s feathers once again,” she told Digital Spy. Furthermore, she added that the clash is going to lead onto something quite big later in the year on Coronation Street.
However, she refrained from divulging any more details about the upcoming storyline that ought to bring some high-voltage drama to the screens. Interestingly, she also teased a redemption track for Mason. Samia revealed that Maria has a big heart and would love to give Mason a chance to redeem himself. However, going by what he put Liam through, it would be hard for her to completely forgive him.
