Life on the cobbles is never short of drama — but sometimes, the off-screen news really gets viewers talking! As Coronation Street continues to keep us glued to our screens with twists, turns, and secret bombshells, one familiar face has just confirmed that their time in Weatherfield has officially come to an end.
Scott Anson Confirms His Final Episode
It’s the final countdown for troublemaker Reece Bolton! Scott Anson, who has been causing nothing but trouble as Reece since the end of 2022, has confirmed that his final episode has gone to air.
Ahead of Wednesday night‘s action (24 April) on our screens, Scott previewed the news on social media, asking viewers to “catch my very last ep” as Reece Bolton!
Reece‘s storyline has been dynamite from the beginning. Remember how he initially rolled into Weatherfield as a member of Griff Reynolds‘ nefarious far-right crew?
He subsequently landed in prison for his role in the planting of a bomb at the winter market.
However, even in prison, Reece continued to cause trouble, particularly where his daughter, Lauren, was concerned.
In his last appearance, Lauren had gone to visit her father after he‘d sent a gift to her baby — but what would have otherwise been a nostalgic meet-up went off the rails straight away.
Reece, ever one to spot an opportunity to lash out, callously dropped a bombshell that he was not even Lauren‘s natural father, and added that they “never bothered with a DNA test”.
Ouch! Fortunately, Lauren wasn‘t going to let him get under her skin. Later, she found comfort in a conversation with Roy Cropper, telling him that she would rather pretend he was her dad if he was okay. Honestly, our hearts!
More Trouble Ahead for Lauren in Coronation Street!
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any more complicated for Lauren… they do!
Lauren was in trouble during Wednesday’s episode after a desperate mistake got her into serious hot water.
Lauren saw Betsy destroying Tracy‘s florist van and quickly got behind the wheel and sped away — but not before she got caught.
Even though Betsy courageously accepts the blame, it won‘t remain a secret for long.
The following week, Lauren finally cracks and confesses the truth to Bobby — she stole the van.
And if that was not enough theatrics, Lauren soon begins receiving creepy text messages from someone who obviously knows the truth. Uh-oh! With threats in the air and guilt weighing on her mind, is Lauren looking at prison time like her dad? Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily, and we will share all Coronation Street updates with you!
