‘It Just Broke Me’ Says Corrie Actress
Former Coronation Street star Lucy-Jo Hudson (Katy Harris) opened up about her challenging and emotional week. The actress posted two pictures on Instagram—one smiling and another crying. She opened up about her struggles with sleepless nights and the challenges she’s been facing.
She began writing that she usually doesn’t post personal updates like this, acknowledging that others have more severe problems. However, after mentioning her ‘emotional’ week in her stories, she received numerous messages from people who could relate to her struggles.
The soap star revealed that this week has been particularly hard for her, as she has struggled to cope with a heavy workload and sleepless nights due to her child Carter’s health issues. She admitted, “And there’s a lot of times that I’ve been able to cope with him and his behaviour, but this week… it just broke me.”
Actress Motivates Fellow Struggling Mothers
Hudson reflected on the struggles of being a working mom. She emphasised that it’s okay to have moments of crying and feeling overwhelmed. She acknowledged the pressure to seem like we have everything together while juggling full-time parenting, work, health, house chores, renovations, and relationships.
The ITV star mentioned that life is incredibly fast-paced and shared that feeling exhausted and emotional is normal. She reassured others that it’s okay to hit a breaking point. She added, “So just know you’re not alone… I’m with you… I feel you… and it’s ok to have those down days.”
Last October, the star revealed to her followers that she was battling chronic anaemia. She mentioned that despite a recent challenging period, she is now fully recovering. Also, she recently exited Hollyoaks, where she had portrayed Donna-Marie Quinn for an extended period.
However, when asked about Corrie’s return, she suggested that while nothing is certain, she’s open to the idea. Let us see if the soap makes that happen or not.
