Bill Fellow has been very relevant to the storylines on Coronation Street, ever since he joined the soap as Stu Carpenter. However, the actor is now ready to bow out of his role after a three-year stint. Interestingly, it is not a creative decision or a sudden move. Reports suggest that Bill had signed a three-year contract with the soap, and had decided to leave the soap after completing the duration.
It was always Bill Fellow’s plan to be on the soap only for three years. He debuted on the soap as Stu Carpenter in 2021, as a homeless man. His backstory revealed that he had been in prison for 30 years for a murder he didn’t commit. Upon arrival, he played a huge part in the downfall of Corey Brent.
This not only won him a spot in the hearts of passionate Coronation Street fans, but the residents of Weatherfield also welcomed him into the community with open arms. Later, Stu landed a job as a chef at Speed Daal, and even ended up starting a relationship with Yasmeen Nazir. The couple had been steady ever since, but some troubles have started to creep in for them lately.
In recent episodes, Stu has become a mentor and keeper for troublemaker Mason Radcliffe. Perhaps Stu has developed a soft spot for the youngster because he knows how it feels to struggle to find a footing in the community after spending time in prison. However, their unlikely relationship now stands threatened as Mason has decided to find a new living arrangement.
