Secrets are never easy to keep in Coronation Street and sometimes, all it takes is being in the wrong place at the wrong time for everything to unravel. Now, for Abi and Carl lies are piling up, and one moment might soon set the stage for a major scandal.
A Day Away From the Garage
Abi said she had a migraine so she could skip work at the garage and spend the day with Carl Webster. That left Tyrone Dobbs working alone, while Abi stayed home surrounded by photos of her and Kevin. The sight made her feel guilty, so Carl suggested they go for lunch in the countryside. Their plan hit a bump when they got stuck in traffic right outside the garage. Tyrone was standing nearby.
Abi quickly ducked down in the passenger seat, and Carl gave an awkward wave when Tyrone spotted his car. Abi told Carl to go and talk to Tyrone before he could walk over and see her hiding. Carl told Tyrone he had a dentist appointment, then rushed back to the car and drove off. They thought they’d dodged a close call, not knowing someone had just taken a picture of them together.
Coronation Street: The Shocking Discovery
Later, Abi came home and told Kevin she had been for a walk to help with her headache. Her guilt grew when Kevin and Jack gave her a gift they’d bought while out. Back at the garage, Abi found Tyrone talking to Hope, who was busy with a scheme of her own.
Hope had taken a funny photo of Tyrone and was threatening to post it online unless he gave her money for a gig. When Abi looked at the snap and froze. In the background, she and Carl were clearly visible in the car. Abi later told Carl they had to get Hope’s phone and delete the picture before it caused trouble. One photo now threatened to reveal everything.
Abi and Carl know they need to move fast before Kevin sees the photo. If the truth comes out, it will expose Abi’s affair with his own brother and cause chaos in both the Webster and Dobbs families. Hope could choose to post the picture or use it for leverage, making things even worse. One way or another, this could end with a huge fallout.
