Gary Windass is about to bring major drama to Coronation Street this week, and the signs suggest he’s about to walk on a very dangerous path. While the people closest to him might believe he’s left his darker days behind, recent events have started pulling him back towards old habits, and the target of his attention won’t see it coming.

Coronation Street: Theo’s Troubles Escalate

Theo Silverton has been having a rough time thanks to Noah Hedley. Things took a nasty turn when Theo spotted a flyer for Noah’s church using a picture of his family. It wasn’t just about the photo, the flyer was promoting “traditional family values,” which cut deep for Theo after everything Noah has put him through.

CS/ Theo’s behaviour is getting worse

This is the same man who once forced Theo into conversion therapy, and it’s clear he hasn’t stopped with the digs. The flyer felt like yet another way to get into Theo’s head, and it pushed him too far.

When it all became too much, Theo lashed out by trashing the builder’s yard. Gary found him in the middle of the mess, but instead of coming down hard on him, he listened to what happened. Gary could see how much it had affected him, and his response showed he wasn’t going to let this slide.

CS/ Gary is ready to help Theo

Later, Gary spoke to Theo in private. He told him that taking matters into his own hands could mean big trouble, especially if it cost him access to his kids. Gary then hinted that he could step in instead, making it clear he had his own reasons for wanting to deal with Noah.

Gary’s Reasons Come Out

Gary explained that he’d once watched Liam be bullied so badly it drove him close to suicide, and from that moment, he promised himself he would never let something like that happen again. He admitted he’d let Mick and Lou get the better of him in the past, and it had left him frustrated. Seeing people like Noah treat others badly and walk away without consequences was something he could no longer tolerate.

Gary told Theo they needed to “teach him a lesson” and if Theo couldn’t do it, he would. He reassured Theo not to worry, saying he knew exactly what he was doing and wanted Noah out of his life for good. Maria had recently told Gary she didn’t think he’d been letting people walk all over him. But from the way he’s talking, it seems like the thought still plays on his mind.

The Dark Side Returns

Viewers will soon see Gary arriving at one of Noah’s events at the Weatherfield community centre, but he won’t be going there for the service. He’ll be carrying a hammer, ready to act, and the look on his face says it all.

Coronation Street spoilers - Gary

While Gary might be framing it as protecting Theo, his plans have a much more dangerous edge. This is Gary stepping into territory he knows all too well, and it could have serious consequences for everyone involved.

It’s becoming clear that the ruthless side of Gary hasn’t gone away; it’s just been waiting for the right moment to come back. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all the latest Coronation Street news and updates.
