Kit Green is about to find himself tangled in even more trouble on Coronation Street, both in his personal and professional life. While he’s already been dealing with a tricky situation involving Sarah Barlow and a problematic business contact, there’s something else waiting in queue, and it could be far more explosive than anyone realises.
There’re Tensions at the Factory
Sarah meets with potential Underworld client Eli, who arrives late and annoyed after being stopped by a police officer earlier. He says he was accused of parking illegally and had his car searched. Kit then turns up at the factory to see Sarah and recognises Eli straight away; he was the officer who stopped him.
The tension between the two men is quite visible, and it doesn’t help Sarah’s chances of securing the deal. After Sarah sends Kit away to try to smooth things over, Kit later confronts Eli about how he treated her. This leads to DI Costello calling Kit in, to tell him Eli has made a complaint about intimidation.
A Private Investigation in Coronation Street
Costello places Kit on desk duty, telling him to say it’s because of an injury to avoid a formal enquiry. Kit shares the news with Sarah, but she is frustrated that he got involved in her work matters.
Kit then admits something else. During a recent case, he realised it was linked to an old investigation involving Lisa Swain’s late wife, Becky. When he asked for the files, Costello told him to leave it alone. Kit ignored this and continued looking into it, which is how Lisa later saw his name on the access list.
The Becky Swain Case
Kit believes there is something suspicious about Becky’s death. As no one will speak to him, he has been carrying out his own investigation without telling anyone what he has found.
He has not shared the details with Lisa or Sarah, raising questions about whether he is protecting Lisa or hiding something else. His colleagues have warned him to stop, but Kit is determined to continue. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all the latest Coronation Street news.
