Maria Knows Something’s Off
Not long ago, Gary had his eye on Noah Hedley, who’d been throwing out cruel and homophobic comments towards Theo Silverton. Gary couldn’t just let that slide, and Maria actually caught him lurking outside the community centre with a hammer, ready to give Noah a scare. She thought she managed to stop him before things went too far, but then the news broke.
Noah was attacked that same night. To make it worse, Gary later showed up with a bloodstain on his shirt. It didn’t take long for Maria to start connecting the dots. The whole thing left her uneasy. She knows Gary’s been through a lot since the ordeal with Mick and Lou, and his “I won’t let anyone walk all over me” attitude hasn’t gone unnoticed. But this feels different.
Coronation Street: Gary Put on the Spot
In Tuesday’s episode, Maria decides she’s done wondering. Over drinks, she straight-up asks Gary about what happened to Noah. She tells him she can’t shake what she saw that night and is convinced he had something to do with the attack. But Gary doesn’t bite. He doesn’t deny it, and he doesn’t confess either. Instead, he tries to shut it down, saying maybe they should just drop the subject.
According to a Corrie insider, Gary doesn’t want to lie to Maria, but he doesn’t want to tell her the truth either. His whole attitude lately has been off, and Maria can’t ignore it. She feels like all the pieces are right in front of her, she just needs him to admit it. So now Maria’s left with a choice. Does she push harder until Gary cracks, or does she back off and pretend she believes him? Either way, their marriage is in dangerous territory.
