Lauren’s connection with Aadi has deepened over the past few weeks, but her distrust showed clearly during a chat with Shona Platt. She mentioned that Aadi planned to help her carry a new sofa into her flat. Shona noticed how close they had become and playfully teased Lauren about their newfound friendship. She told Shona she had assumed the worst and now wasn’t sure how to mend it. Shona didn’t hold back. She told Lauren that if she liked Aadi, she shouldn’t keep avoiding him. According to her, there was still time to act if Lauren was willing to be honest with herself.
Lauren’s instinct to protect herself is understandable, especially after everything she has faced. But Aadi’s kindness and steady patience have slowly worn down her defenses.
