TODD’S BLOODY NIGHTMARE! Theo Sees ‘Flirting’ And Todd Pays The Price in Coronation Street

By Roy

Todd Grimshaw’s attempt to keep the peace with Theo Silverton goes badly wrong in the latest episode, as even though it begins as a normal evening between them quickly spirals into something Todd never expected and the night takes a turn that leaves him shaken in more ways than one.

Theo Tightens His Grip On Todd

Viewers have already watched Todd struggle under Theo’s constant criticism and controlling behaviour. Theo keeps making sly comments about Todd’s appearance and has slowly pushed him away from his friends. The biggest blow came when Theo caused a major clash between Todd and George Shuttleworth, leaving Todd jobless and more dependent on Theo than he ever imagined. Trying to avoid more trouble, Todd throws himself into the marathon training that Theo insists on.

CS/ Todd turns to James

When the aches kick in, Todd turns to James Bailey for help easing his delayed onset muscle soreness. James gives him a few simple techniques to help him recover. But Theo walks in, instantly assumes Todd is flirting with James, and gets angry. Actor James Cartwright explained that Theo behaves this way because he struggles to express what he feels, saying he tends to “blow up” when emotions overwhelm him, which leaves Todd walking on eggshells.

Theo’s Rage Reaches A Scary New Level in Coronation Street

Things then shift from tense to terrifying. In a sudden outburst, Theo grabs Todd and slams his head into a mirror, smashing it and leaving Todd bleeding. Todd ends up at the medical centre, and the nurse examining him quickly grows suspicious about how the injury happened. Todd, afraid of setting Theo off again, gives her a cover story to protect him. When they get home, Theo immediately tries to twist what happened. He insists Todd fell into the mirror and even claims he saved him.

CS/ Theo manipulates Todd

The night gets worse when Theo serves Todd a meal. When Todd gently mentions that it’s cold, Theo snaps again, he lashes out with hurtful comments, makes himself the victim, and then orders Todd to eat it anyway. Cartwright explained that Theo often acts in anger and then sinks into self-hatred afterward, sometimes drinking as the cycle repeats. Theo’s behaviour doesn’t stop at violence or manipulation. He also blames Todd for every major thing that has gone wrong in his life.

Meanwhile, Todd becomes increasingly isolated, anxious, and unsure how much further Theo’s behaviour might go. With things getting worse by the day, the big question now is whether Todd will find a way out before Theo’s rage pushes things even further.
