Things have finally snapped in Todd Grimshaw’s world and this time, there may be no going back. With Theo Silverton’s abusive behaviour now out in the open, the walls are closing in on him fast. But as he prepares to leave Coronation Street, he isn’t planning to go quietly. Instead, he has one final move in mind; and it could drag Todd out of Weatherfield with him for good.
The Truth About Theo Finally Comes Out
For a long time, Theo kept Todd under control by slowly cutting him off from the people who cared about him. George Shuttleworth, Sarah Platt, and Summer Spellman were all pushed out of Todd’s life.
This week, things took a disturbing turn when Theo forced Todd into a wedding. He literally led him down the aisle blindfolded, with Gary Windass and Maria Connor as witnesses. It didn’t sit right with anyone, especially George, who has always been a strong support for Todd but wasn’t even invited.
George’s doubts turned into certainty soon after. While at Todd’s flat, he used the bathroom and heard Theo shouting abuse through the door. Theo later tried to laugh it off as “banter,” but George wasn’t convinced. In that moment, he realised Todd had been living with abuse.
People Close to Todd Start Stepping In
Once George understood what was really going on, he joined forces with Summer to help Todd. They brought Sarah up to speed, and she quickly recognised the warning signs from Todd’s behaviour over time.
Gary didn’t believe it at first. But Sarah explained everything she had noticed throughout Todd’s relationship, and slowly, it started to make sense to him too. That’s when Gary took action. He confronted Theo at the builder’s yard and didn’t hold back. Angry and direct, he told Theo to collect his tools and get out.
With nothing left tying him to Coronation Street, it seems obvious that Theo would leave. But he’s not the kind of person who walks away quietly. Theo becomes more desperate. He had already mentioned a possible job in Belfast; and now, that plan suddenly becomes real.
