After Craig’s tragic death in Coronation Street, you’d expect Weatherfield to finally get a break. However, the creators have other ideas, and trouble is returning. Mick Michaelis isn’t done yet, and next week, he makes a chilling move that could put lives in danger again.
Craig’s Killer Was Locked Up, But Not for Long
Just a couple of months ago, Mick brutally attacked Craig Tinker. What seemed like a random beating turned deadly, and Craig sadly died in the hospital. Mick got arrested and sent to prison, making it feel like the worst was behind everyone. But while in jail, Mick has been simmering.
When he learns that his family is falling apart without him, especially his kids Brody, Joanie, and Shanice, it pushes him over the edge. He believes he needs to reach them. And now, that’s exactly what he intends to do. His plan is to break out of prison and make a run for it with his children. The new trailer shows that this is about to happen.
Mick Escapes and Heads Straight to Weatherfield
In next week’s episodes, airing Monday, July 14, Mick escapes from prison and starts searching for his kids. His first stop is Weatherfield High, looking for Joanie, but he’s too late. Sally has already taken her home. That’s when Mick changes direction and heads straight for the street.
Meanwhile, Sally has no idea of the danger. She takes Joanie to Underworld for a quick visit while the other factory girls are at the pub. All the while, Mick is getting closer. Even worse, Kit is following him, trying to find him before he causes more trouble.
Kit Risks It All Again to Stop Him in Coronation Street
Kit knows exactly what Mick is capable of. He saw what happened to Craig. Now, as Mick gets closer to Joanie, Kit might be the only one who can stop him. Joe Layton, who plays Mick, mentioned that this isn’t about revenge. Mick just wants his family back and is desperate to start anew with them.
However, he also cautioned that desperation doesn’t make Mick any less dangerous, and Kit could be risking his own life again. This episode promises high-stakes drama. It will be available on ITVX and YouTube on Monday, July 14.
Mick’s return is the last thing anyone anticipated. Now that he’s back, the question is how far he will go. He claims it’s about love for his family, but after everything he’s done, no one can afford to take risks. Will Kit get to him in time, or will someone else get hurt?
