It hasn’t taken long for Brody Michaelis to stir up chaos in Coronation Street again. Fresh out of the Secure Training Centre, he’s already back in trouble, and this time, his actions may expose a secret that could change lives forever.
Caught Stealing…
After arriving on the cobbles last week, Brody immediately caught the eye of DC Kit Green, who once had a fling with Lou Michaelis while Mick was behind bars. Kit couldn’t shake the feeling that Brody might be his son. That suspicion only grew stronger when Bernie Winter caught Brody trying to shoplift from the corner shop.
Kit stepped in to handle it and asked Brody for his name and birthdate. The moment Brody said he was born in 2009, Kit looked visibly stunned, confirming the timeline he’d dreaded. When Kit asked Lou directly, she shut him down, saying Mick had raised Brody for 16 years and that was the end of it. But it’s clear Kit’s not convinced.
Arrested Again in Coronation Street
Brody didn’t learn his lesson. He later bragged to Betsy Swain about stealing a bottle of vodka, but she was unimpressed, and reported him. When Kit brought him in, DS Lisa Swain reminded him to stay out of the case due to Betsy’s involvement, but Brody’s smug taunts pushed Kit over the edge.
Kit snapped and ordered Brody to the cells to sober up, unable to hide his frustration. The teen, still unaware of Kit’s possible connection to him, seems determined to cause as much trouble as possible.
Father-Son Fallout?
Actor Ryan Mulvey said Brody sees Kit as the villain who’s ruining his family. He explained that Brody idolises Mick, even though their relationship isn’t perfect, and would be “blown away” to learn that Kit might be his real dad.
Ryan added that Brody’s tough attitude comes from years of emotional neglect. “He puts up walls to protect himself from getting hurt again.”
