A major storm is going on the cobbles, and Coronation Street fans have already decided who should not survive the upcoming flash-forward murder twist. As the tension grows and speculation intensifies, viewers are no longer just guessing who the killer might be. They are openly naming the character they want gone, and the result is not even close.
Theo Silverton Tops The Death Poll
Weatherfield currently feels packed with villains. Jodie Ramsey, Carl Webster, Maggie Driscoll, Theo Silverton, and Megan Walsh are all active on the Street at the same time.
Many viewers believe this buildup is no coincidence as the soap moves toward a dramatic flash-forward murder storyline in which one of them will lose their life. Producers have clearly strengthened the show’s villain roster ahead of the twist.

However, instead of creating only suspense, the heavy concentration of baddies has left fans feeling drained. The constant darkness has sparked frustration, with many arguing that the balance of the show has tipped too far.
A recent poll delivered a landslide verdict. With 68 percent of the vote, viewers made it crystal clear that they are ready to see the back of Theo Silverton. The overwhelming response shows just how strongly fans feel about his storyline and its impact on the show.
Theo’s Abuse Of Todd Grimshaw Has Hit Hardest
Theo’s disturbing abuse of Todd Grimshaw has pushed many viewers to their limit. While Carl and Jodie operate in heightened, dramatic fashion, and Maggie’s murder of her husband was revealed through flashbacks, Megan’s abuse of Will Driscoll has remained largely off screen.
In fact, it has been confirmed that physical contact in that storyline is kept to a minimum due to the young actor’s age.

Theo’s cruelty, however, has played out in raw and graphic detail. Viewers have watched him force feed Todd, verbally degrade him, douse him in milk, smash his face against a mirror, beat him, and terrorise him repeatedly. He has also cut Todd off from his loved ones, including George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Sarah Platt, and Billy Mayhew. Theo even orchestrated Billy’s death. This abuse plot has run for nearly eight months without any sense of relief or justice.
Instead of easing, the situation has escalated. Theo’s behaviour has grown increasingly vicious as he ensures Todd remains isolated and under his complete control. That prolonged intensity has clearly had a deep effect on the audience. While Theo currently ranks as the least popular villain, viewers have expressed exhaustion at the number of dark storylines dominating the Street. Fans clearly want fewer villains and more warmth and humour. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers.
