He has also cut Todd off from his loved ones, including George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Sarah Platt, and Billy Mayhew. Theo even orchestrated Billy’s death. This abuse plot has run for nearly eight months without any sense of relief or justice.
Instead of easing, the situation has escalated. Theo’s behaviour has grown increasingly vicious as he ensures Todd remains isolated and under his complete control. That prolonged intensity has clearly had a deep effect on the audience. While Theo currently ranks as the least popular villain, viewers have expressed exhaustion at the number of dark storylines dominating the Street.
