Just when you thought you’d seen the last of dodgy solicitor Joel Deering, Coronation Street devotees have been left in a tizzy after a familiar face made a surprise appearance at the British Soap Awards, right among his former cast members.

Calum Lill, who had played the evil Joel, was seen having a good time at the awards night with his Corrie co-stars past, including Liam McCheyne, Harriet Bibby, and Channique Sterling-Brown. Although Joel did have a big finale last year, Calum’s visit wasn’t just to make some social appearances. He was also nominated for Villain of the Year, although EastEnders Navin Chowdhry won the award.
Calum subsequently revealed that he was thrilled on social media, sharing group photos and referring to it as a blast to catch up with his “Corrie family.” One selfie soon went viral on social media, not only because of the featured cast members, but because of an unexpected guest in the background.
