Coronation Street actress Sally, who plays Abi, joined the soap in 2017. She married the love of her life, Joe, in 2022. In a recent interview with OK! Magazine, the actress spoke about how she hates working with her husband and explained that she can’t take him seriously on set.
Carman continued, saying, ‘She will be very happy if she has to do no scenes with him ever.’ “I love Joe to bits, but I don’t like working with him,” she added. Further, Sally said, ‘She’s never going to like working with her real-life husband.’
The actress also added that the two have completely different working styles. “I like to come fully prepared, and he likes to flesh it out on the floor,” she explained. Sally further added that ‘he’s a funny person and she’s a giggler.’ “Once I’ve gone, I’m gone,” she exclaimed. Carman added that ‘he makes her howl with laughter, that too on purpose.’ ‘She gets cross with him because he knows the situation,’ ‘But he can’t help himself,” Carman added.

Moving further, Sally has also confirmed the rumours of her new love interest on the ITV soap. She has spoken about the spark between her character Abi and her brother-in-law Carl. She met him for the first time recently. When speaking to Inside Soap, Sally has shed some light on Abi’s feelings towards Carl.
She said the two did not have the instant spark as they ran into each other, and their meeting came as a “shock”. Adding to it, she told how ‘he came into her life and turned out to be Kevin’s brother’. “Which was gutting because he’d awakened something in Abi,” she said.
Sally said she’s an addict, and he made her feel the adrenaline rush, which she felt ages ago. “It completely turned her from red to blue.” Speaking of the couple, we hope that the couple always shares such hilarious moments.
