David Beckham Took A Snub At Prince Harry
As per the tales going around, Meghan Markle allegedly told Prince Harry to avoid meeting the football legend at the Invictus Games 2018 despite inviting him to attend. The book claims that David was left ‘perplexed’ at the snub, particularly because he’d been friends with the Duke for years.
Tom wrote about the Sydney-based event, “Beckham found himself alone at the Invictus Games stadium, arriving on the agreed day to meet Harry he was perplexed why officials were playing a dance to keep him happy, but away from Harry.”

As the footballer wondered about his friend’s whereabouts, he was oblivious that “the prince had ordered that under no circumstances was the footballer to be allowed near him.” Bower also added that the photographs of the two together were forbidden, and this royal snub was brutal, leaving David completely puzzled.
The book also claims that an isolated David later got to know that “The exclusion order, it later transpired, was issued by Meghan. She did not want any competition in the media from Beckham, and especially not from his wife Victoria.”
Four years after the alleged snub, David was able to take a subtle yet public act of revenge from the royal. Even though Meghan was successful in keeping the friends apart, the footballer didn’t forget Duke’s actions.
In November 2022, Beckham crossed continents to attend a prestigious event in Boston to celebrate Prince William and Kate. This event had all the A-list celebrities, including President Joe Biden, and it took place at the same time when Harry & Meghan were in New York at the event.

The constellation of celebs in Boston obviously overshadowed the Sussexes’ appearance. Bower claims that this was a calculated move by the Beckhams for the incident in Sydney. The biography also highlights that while the two couples were once on great terms, their relationship has now soured.
