Arianne Zucker recently addressed her impending departure from Days of Our Lives after playing the role of Nicole Walker for over twenty years! The actress appeared as a guest on Rachel Uchitel’s popular podcast, Miss Understood, and talked about multiple things besides her exit.
During the over-hour-long interview, Zucker touched upon the Donald Trump and Billy Bush / Access Hollywood scandal. Then she dropped some inside scoops on the backstage drama, leading to DOOL executive producer Albert Alarr’s firing. Read on to catch the whole tea!
Arianne Zucker Shares Insights on Her Upcoming Exit
The Days of Our Lives star shed light on the circumstances of her character Nicole’s upcoming exit. When Uchitel asked Zucker about her character’s departure, she wondered if Nicole would be killed off. However, the actress brushed off that idea, saying, “I think they were smart enough not to kill me.” Also, Zucker’s final airdate is fast approaching because her last tape date was December 23, 2023.
If you wonder why, then let us tell you that DOOL has this notorious policy of filming six months in advance. So, that means Arianne’s final scenes are set to air soon. Moreover, the ex-NBC show star mentioned that her final script indicated a July 29, 2024, airdate. But she’s still in the dark about whether that date has been changed. Next, Uchitel wanted details about how Nicole would leave Salem. But the soap diva didn’t want to spoil it for her beloved fans and opted to stay mum.

Zucker expressed her love for Days and her loyalty to the show, urging fans to witness her departure themselves. Furthermore, The Emmy-nominated actress addressed whether the writers did justice to Nicole’s exit. Sadly, she thinks the wordsmiths have rushed her character’s goodbye story. “I think they did a lot of disservice to the two characters that people have wanted together for a long time.”
Then, she justifies it by calling it an investment and the writer’s choice. Arianne added, “If he chooses not to write that, you’re just not going to get that storyline.” She went on to say, “To a degree, it was fine. It was fine. So, the fans can look forward to that.” Anyway, Rachel Uchitel’s Miss Understood podcast features people whose lives have been reduced to a single headline. It aims to dig into their stories and change their narratives.
So, does Zucker’s comment mean Nicole will leave Salem without reuniting with Eric? And will she take off without resolving things with EJ? Won’t be the same without Arianna she is such a big part of Days. I don’t see Days lasting much longer when they start getting rid of their veteran actors. Just not going to be the same.Huge mistake huge.
Not keeping Arianna, and the more recent women actors that have left the show, combined with the fact
that most of the original cast has been let go,doesn’t bode well for the future of Days of Our Lives.
I agree with Christine Lemleux 100% I Love Arrianna Zucker ,she is one of the greatest Actress ..it will be sad to see her go,I wish they would keep her and Let Her & Eric get back together,,,
I have been watching Days since they started. And I think letting Adrianna Sucked go is not right. She is one of the best actors on Days. The show will never be the same.
Her leaving is absolutely sickening!! I have completely lost All respect for Ken Corday! Trying to keep an animal like Alarr on has ruined Days!!!!! His choice of writers are the worst of the Worst!
As a life long fan I am so very distressed by these actions! Shame on you Corday for risking everything you parents worked so hard for!!!!!
Bring Ari and all the others back!!!!!!!
