Without missing a beat, Fiona decided it was time to skip town for good and head back home. It’s a smart and safe move, considering Xander has been on a revenge spree. He would take down the last person he thought ran down Sarah.

While he might not go that far with his own mother, it was probably best that Fiona didn’t stick around to test his rage. However, Fiona’s farewell wasn’t smooth. She left behind a note for her son, almost an apology, which she didn’t exactly write like one. In her letter, Fiona expressed a wish to change for real one day, hoping Xander would forgive him.

In addition, she’s avoided prison and an emotional blowout from her loved ones. Interestingly, the current situation leaves the door open for her comeback. Could we see Fiona again someday? The peacock soap practically handed us an invitation for Serena’s return. Meanwhile, Fiona wasn’t the only one who made a heartfelt departure.

Eric, our beloved priest, said his own goodbyes recently. He helped clear his stepbrother Brady’s name in the Sarah incident. Now, Eric’s heading back to Paris to reunite with Nicole and little Jude. But Holly’s forgiveness arc seems to be on the horizon, which means we’ll see Eric one more time before he catches his flight.
