Days of Our Lives Comings and Goings tease a mysterious new arrival in Salem! Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), who’s already heartbroken by Doug’s (Bill Hayes) passing, is up for a surprise. DAYS season 60 promo shows her gasping at an unexpected cemetery visitor. Rumor has it that it could be Peyton Meyer’s character, rumored to debut the week of December 2-6. Read further to find out.
Doug’s Estranged Grandson?
Days of Our Lives Comings and Goings spill that it all starts when Julie stands before Doug’s grave with teary eyes. If you’ve started to break down, you better hold your horses for what happens next on December 4. In a most gut-wrenching twist, Doug comes from the other side and pops up right before her eyes. However, there’s another twist in store!
Then, Peyton Meyer’s character, who shares a very personal connection to the departed soul, enters the graveyard. Is he Doug’s long-lost grandson? We’re not spinning this theory for no reason; there’s a trail leading to it. In the 1970s, Doug fathered a son, Douglas “Dougie” LeClaire, through a surrogate program. Cut to the present, Peyton’s character might be Dougie’s child.

Moreover, this way he can also be Doug’s namesake and Julie’s surprising family member. On December 5, Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) catches Julie and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) chatting with the new guy. The duo is filling in him with touching family stories from the good old days. In the meantime, Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) will not embrace him right away.
She still has doubts about this new arrival. And if Salem’s queen of intuition smells something fishy, there gotta be something brewing! The character sketch of Meyer’s role is under wraps, so nobody knows what he’s here for. He can turn out to be a genuine long-lost family member with the hope of reconnecting. Conversely, he can be someone to turn the town upside down with some revenge ideas in mind.
Whatever the case, his presence will catch the eyeballs of Salemites because he enters a canvas at a crucial time. We hope Julie doesn’t suffer in the aftermath, as she’s barely pulling herself together in these gloomy times.
