Dan Feuerriegel is one of the most popular stars on Days of Our Lives. Many fans really love his version of EJ DiMera, and we have to agree that he has portrayed various shades of the character flawlessly for many years. We have seen his good side, his caring side, and, of course, his evil side. The last he perhaps plays the best! Even currently, he is super wicked on the soap, but this time, he has fans worried!
EJ DiMera has partnered up with Rafe’s doppleganger Arnold. They are holding the real Rafe captive in the secret DiMera cellar. Now, we know that Rafe can’t remain in captivity forever, and sooner or later, he will escape or be found. But what will happen to EJ after that? Days of Our Lives fans are wondering if Dan Feuerriegel will exit the soap when this storyline ends.
A Days fan took to Reddit to voice their fan. They pointed that once Rafe escapes, either EJ will have to go on the run, or go to jail. He can’t just continue living in DiMera Mansion as if he never kidnapped Rafe. And the concern is legit! However, many fans countered this by saying that many characters have committed worse crimes and still continue to walk free. Thus, it won’t be a shock if the makers sweep the kidnapping under the rug and let EJ go on as if nothing happened.
We also are leaning towards believing the second possibility because we haven’t heard any news of Dan Feuerriegel’s departure from the soap. However, there is one spoiler that does hint at a possible exit. Not too long ago, Days dropped a preview video that showed a mystery person shooting EJ. It is possible that someone shoots EJ right at the end of this kidnapping storyline, and that’s how Dan Feuerriegel exits.
However, we would be really heartbroken if that happens, because Days is severely lacking goof villains right now, and Dan plays a pretty good baddie as EJ!
