Days of Our Lives beloved actress Lauren Koslow, aka Kate Roberts, recently suffered a personal loss. The soap diva is mourning the loss of her mum, Milli, who passed away just two months before her hundredth birthday. She posted a throwback picture of herself with her mum on Instagram with a sweet note. Days of Our Lives: Koslow Honors Her Mother’s Memory in Touching Post
The Days of Our Lives star explained how shocking it was to see her mother leave. Lauren added, “Milli was one of the most spontaneous, dynamic, adventurous, complicated, passionate, funny, and powerful women I’ve ever known.” The soap veteran highlighted how super talented Milli was. She fulfilled so many diverse roles, such as artist, storyteller, traveler, businesswoman, mom, grandmother, and wife.
Lauren concluded, “I’ll miss you forever and a day, but I’m glad you’re reunited with the love of your life. The actress was talking about her dad, “Kiss Daddy for us. I love you, mama.” We believe Milli must have instilled her artistry in her daughter as Koslow rocked the entertainment industry with an impressive career! Lauren began her acting career in touring theater, starring in productions like “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” and “Dial M for Murder.”
Furthermore, the Days of Our Lives legend transitioned to television in the mid-1980s. She landed the role of Lindsay Wells on “The Young and the Restless” and played it from 1984 to 1986. Next, Y&R’s creators, William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell, had a new proposal for Lauren. They urged her to join the original cast of their new soap, “The Bold and the Beautiful.” She portrayed fashion designer Margo Lynley until 1992 and later appeared in a cameo flashback sequence in 2002.
In 1996, Lauren took over the role of Kate Roberts on Days of Our Lives after Deborah Adair left the series. Koslow’s character Kate is popular among fans for her scheming ways and complex relationships. Kate has been married to Curtis Reed Victor Kiriakis, Roman Brady, and Stefano DiMera and is the widow of André DiMera. Additionally, she is the mother of Austin, Billie, Lucas, Philip, and the twins Cassie and Rex.
