But just as things heat up, Stephanie pauses. She’s got work, a fundraiser, and lunch plans with Kayla—who hasn’t checked in yet.

Steve and Kayla discuss the miracle drug that might help Bo. Sadly, Dr. Russell has said no. Kayla’s stuck. As a doctor, she gets it. As a sister, she’s torn. Gabi catches Leo going through her purse and freaks. Javi walks in. Gabi accuses Leo of stealing a memory card. She tells Javi that Leo must go. Javi says if Leo goes, he goes too. Gabi storms off, dragging Javi with her.
At Gabi’s office, Philip’s using her desk. She explodes again. Javi tries calming her. She lashes out at him. Javi leaves. Philip tells her to be nicer to family. Gabi bites back about his dysfunctional one. When Philip steps out, Gabi trashes his laptop.
Xander and Alex Plot
Xander wants to take down Philip. Alex offers help. Xander still doesn’t trust him. Alex promises no more secrets. They shake hands. Gabi calls Alex about their “date.” She wants it big and fancy. Alex reminds her it’s not real. She still expects effort. Philip overhears the call. Gabi teases that sparks could fly. Philip tells her to grab his trashed laptop. Javi’s gone, so she calls him.
Xander returns. Alex’s fundraiser didn’t raise enough. Xander wants to buy the hospital but lacks liquid funds. They decide to cut some DiMera divisions but keep Pharmaceuticals.

Javi heads home and asks Leo what he was doing. Leo’s making a list of EJ shooting suspects. Javi freaks when he sees Gabi and Rafe’s names. He warns Leo to stop. Leo agrees—sort of. Javi questions their living situation. Leo suggests quitting.
Philip hints at a lucky break. Xander hears bad news from Mr. Shin. He must keep working with Philip. Also, the fraud must stay buried. Back at Stephanie’s, Alex grabs his wallet—but finds her manuscript and steals it. Kayla cancels lunch with Stephanie. She’s focused on Bo. At the pub, Shawn refuses to back down. Steve agrees to the plan.
