Days of Our Lives ex-star Jessica Serfaty, aka Sloan, is reeling from Los Angeles’ inferno. The City of Angels, the buzzing spot for all things glitz and glamour, witnessed one of its worst wildfires. The tragedy left behind a trail of destruction, hitting home for some of our favorite daytime telly stars. Serfaty shared the sight of horror and her emotional state through an IG post. Check it out below.
Days of Our Lives: LA Inferno Claims Jessica’s Home
The former Days of Our Lives actress has recently lost her home to the large-scale wildfire in Tinseltown. Jessica Serfaty made everyone feel the gravity of the situation by sharing a raw and emotional glimpse into her experience. She posted before-and-after snaps of her now-destroyed home on Instagram.
Moreover, her caption resonated with the pain of countless people who lost everything to the calamity. “My heart burns along with the city for everyone who’s lost their homes, memories, a part of their lives,” she wrote. In one photo, Jessica candidly spoke on behalf of her devastating state of mind.
“My home. Gone overnight. I haven’t stopped screaming and crying for the last two days,” Jessica shared. The poor soul buried her face in a pillow while bleeding “with hot tears.” Additionally, Serfaty is in utter shock, stating that nobody can be prepared for such a tragedy. She described last year as “the most traumatizing year” and found this one similar.
Other Soap Stars Meet the Same Tragic Fate
Jessica shared a reminder on the heels of this explosive episode, “Everything is replaceable.” Meanwhile, other soap stars faced a fate similar to hers. These include GH’s Cameron Mathison, Y&R’s Melissa Claire Egan, and B&B’s Jennifer Gareis. For Melissa, the fire’s devastation hit differently but just as hard.
She and her husband, Matt Katrosar, had just bought their dream house in the Palisades. However, the couple never got the chance to move in. “Thank you so much to everyone reaching out. We are safe. Thank God. All that matters,” Egan penned. Furthermore, Jennifer used her platform to spread hope and resilience.
“Everyone in LA, stay safe & don’t give up hope. Believing in a better tomorrow gives me peace & calm,” she shared. Our hearts go out to everyone who faced unimaginable loss.
