Days of Our Lives spoilers: EJ’s Rough Start to the Year
As per Days of Our Lives spoilers, the return of Arnold has been a ticking time bomb for EJ. “It’s a combination of both,” Feuerriegel tells SOD about EJ’s ability to handle Arnold. The DAYS actor highlighted how EJ left Arnold to his own devices and trusted him. Unfortunately, the situation got worse when Rafe came into the picture.
“That’s when EJ had to take over [and abduct Rafe],” Dan explains. Moreover, Arnold’s unpredictability has kept his character on edge, leading him to make risk-heavy moves. Feuerriegel admits that EJ is trying to save his soul. He joked, “I don’t know how he’s going to get out of this unless you kill someone.”
To make matters worse, EJ’s professional life took a blow when he was fired from his DA position. Yep, Paulina Price replaced him by none other than Belle. Additionally, the betrayal stings hard, yet EJ doesn’t completely blame Belle. Feuerriegel noted, “There’s definitely this sense of betrayal, but maybe it secretly excites EJ.”

Feuerriegel Adores EJ-Belle’s Love-Hate Relationship
According to Dan, EJ is happy to hang around Belle, which is kinda weird. Interestingly, their love-hate relationship has a separate fanbase that also includes Feuerriegel himself. He compares it with David and Maddie from Moonlighting, saying, “I will be Bruce Willis any day of the week.”
In addition, the DOOL heartthrob gave a shout-out to the powerhouse women, who made EJ run for his money. “All of EJ’s adversaries are currently women,” he pointed out, adding, “It’s considerably harder.” His character is struggling to keep up with Belle, Jada, and Paulina, but Feuerriegel wouldn’t have it any other way.
Meanwhile, he praised Jackée Harry, aka Paulina, “She’s lovely and gives as good as she gets.” While Dan enjoys the ride, the same can’t be said for his character on the ex-NBC soap.
