Is Rachel Blake really gone… or just getting started? In the wild world of Days of Our Lives, disappearances rarely mean the end. And that might just be the case for Rachel Blake, played by Ros Gentle. After vanishing in a suspicious showdown with EJ DiMera, fans have been asking: What happened to Kristen’s eccentric mother? Now, the actress herself is breaking her silence—and teasing just enough to keep us guessing.
Ros Gentle Isn’t Ready To Close The Door
Rachel Blake’s final scene left fans unsettled. EJ tried to erase her memory with the CRS-17 serum, only for Rachel to outsmart him with a placebo swap. As EJ moved toward her with dangerous intent, the screen faded—and she was never seen again.
But actress Ros Gentle says that’s not necessarily the end. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Gentle laughed off the idea of final exits in Salem. “They’ll reincarnate me,” she joked. “The door was nailed shut before, right?”
Rachel, also known as the “Woman in White,” originally appeared in 1995, played by Pat Delaney. Her latest return stirred up new drama—and perhaps left enough loose threads for another comeback.
Ros Gentle admitted that even she isn’t sure what happened to Rachel after that last encounter with EJ. “It was not clear when I left,” she said. “I can’t say too much. I’m waiting to see what happens after a while.” She’s eager to return and find out the answers—just like the viewers. After all, this is Days of Our Lives, where death is just the beginning and no one ever stays gone forever.
Would She Return To Days of Our Lives?
While Rachel’s story may be shrouded in mystery, Ros Gentle’s experience filming the show was warm and rewarding.“Everyone was really friendly and really lovely,” she shared, praising the cast and crew. From learning eight scenes a night to rehearsing with a dialogue coach, she embraced the fast-paced rhythm of daytime TV. Gentle loved how open everyone was about rehearsing. “Once you got on that set, it was one take. That’s it,” she said.
Even her most intense scenes—like knocking out or stabbing Ava—were handled with creative effort and teamwork. Directors tried multiple angles and eventually used a “jump-cut” to make the dramatic moments land. So… is Rachel Blake alive? Hidden? Or worse? Ros Gentle isn’t telling, but she’s hopeful.
“I’d love to return,” she said. And if she does, Days of Our Lives fans know better than to expect anything normal from Rachel. That’s it for today’s Days of Our Lives spotlight. For more cast interviews, story teases, and shockers from Salem, stick with Soap Opera Daily!
