Look who’s back! Linda Henry, famous for her role as Shirley Carter, has finally been spotted for the first time ever since she left EastEnders. Longtime viewers know that the fan-favourite character left the BBC programme two years ago and we have not seen her for a long time. Even though viewers would love to see her again in Walford, she has been staying out of the spotlight altogether. Keep scrolling to know more about her whereabouts!
Former Star Was Two Years After Exiting Walford
Shirley Carter actress Linda Henry has been seen for the first time since her show exit. She recently made an unexpected appearance in social media after a day out with another soap icon. Henry joined the award-winning Coronation Street writer Jonathan Harvey for a spot of lunch this weekend, with the pair ‘putting the world to rights.’
The Corrie writer took to Instagram and posted a picture of himself and the former EastEnders icon in a restaurant in London. Although the duo has worked on different soaps, Linda and Jonathan worked together previously in a film called Beautiful Thing. After leaving Walford two years ago, the actress has largely stayed away from the public eye.
The famous actress is an all-time fan-favourite character, and getting to see her after a long time, fans were quick to respond to Jonathan’s social media post. One of them wrote, “Miss her on our screens. Criminally underrated actress.” She made her debut on the BBC programme in 2006 and was seen leaving it dramatically in 2022. This came after Shirley’s son, Mick Carter, disappeared out of nowhere.
