EastEnders star Diane Parish has opened up about her character Denise Fox’s future. Recently there was a fan vote where the majority voted for her to choose Jack Branning over Ravi Gulati. Diane has been playing Denise on the soap since 2006. She has been a part of the soap for 18 years and has been part of major dramatic plots. EastEnders Star Diane Opens Up About Fan Vote
EastEnders actress Diane Parish has opened up about the fan vote that took place back in February. Denise got married to Jack, and there was a huge crack in their marriage when it was revealed that he was dating Stacey Slater. The couple then decided to separate. Later the salon owner was seen getting involved with Ravi Gulati. When the pair thought things were going fine, Denise realised that she still had feelings for her ex-husband.
She eventually decided to try once again and give their marriage another shot. Poor Ravi was left behind, heartbroken. Speaking with TV Times Magazine, Diane said, “It was definitely the choice I thought viewers would make.” She further added that, for whatever reason, the viewers and fans made a big story choice.
“Because it now branches off into all different areas,” she added. Since their reunion, the couple has been doing pretty well. But Denise actress, had warned her fans to not be so comfortable already, as anything can change on a soap in a blink.
Diane Says, “It’s Never a Full-Stop Chapter”
Parish said, “It’s never a full-stop chapter.” The soap star further explained that it was nice to give the hold to the audience and let them choose whatever they want in something exciting like interactive voting. “But the bosses are back in charge now,” Parish further added.
Diane also spoke about how her co-star Aaron Thiara (who plays Ravi) felt after the result was revealed during the special live episode. “I don’t think he’s gutted,” she added. Parish further talked about what her reaction was hearing about Denise and Ravi being together.
“I was like, ‘Do what?!’ because he’s considerably younger than I am!” she added. She also spoke about how wonderful it has been working with Aaron. Diane added, “But as an actor, I’d struggle to discover a more mature, insightful, generous and emotionally intelligent actor than Aaron.” She further explained that Aaron is exciting to work with, and he takes things ‘in his stride’. “He’s chilled and pleased in terms of it being Scott Maslen.
