EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey on the soap, has finally opened up about her miscarriages and how she dealt with it. The actress has revealed how hard it was for her. EastEnders’ Lacey Shares Her Miscarriage Trauma
The EastEnders actress has spoken about her personal hardships as a mother. She said that it was so hard to conceive before becoming mother of their firstborn, Dusty, back in 2019. She and her husband have been trying for so long and finally gave birth. The actress said that she and her husband, Matt Kay, tried for so long, and when it did not happen, she accepted it, saying ‘okay’. She further added, “I didn’t realise it was such a small window; you just don’t really think about that.”
Lacey added that ‘the first time it happened, she could not control but just sob uncontrollably.’Turner added that she has this weird thing that when she is sad, she questions herself about the same. She questioned herself about the crying and sobbing for something that is “barely there”. The actress added that it is part of the shock. Later the couple gave birth to her first daughter in 2019 and to their son in 2021.

Lacey also spoke about the time she got to know about her pregnancy on the set. She added that she fell down on her knees and then announced the good news on the set. She added that Letitia Dean, Gillian Taylforth, Kellie Bright, Diane Parish and Balvinder Sopal were the first six people who she informed about the news. Turner explained that she had to reveal after she fell asleep on the set of Dean Wicks’ murder trial.
She explained how they were shooting for the trail scene, and then all of them asked her if she was alright. Lacey quickly replied with “I’m pregnant”, and everyone fell down on their knees. Later she said that these are the only people she has told the news to. As she kept on falling asleep again and again, she had to reveal it. The actress further added, “Normally you can pop up to your dressing room, but I didn’t have a dressing room to hide [in].” She also said, ‘She felt she was stuck in the Winnebago with everyone looking at her.’
