EastEnders actress Michelle Collins has confirmed that she is taking a monthlong break from the soap. The actress very recently came back to the soap after she took a break previously at the start of the year. Cindy left the Square when it was revealed to her that Kathy attacked her during Christmas. Since she returned to the soap, she has caused chaos in Kathy’s life. Now it seems that she is going to let out her breath while she is away from Walford.

EastEnders iconic villain Cindy Beale will be off screen for a month as the actress has announced that she will be performing her show named Motorhome Marilyn at the Edinburgh Festival. In an interview with The Mirror, Michelle confirmed, “I’m going off in the summer. I’m doing my one-woman show at the Edinburgh Festival [Fringe], called Motorhome Marilyn.”
The soap star further said that her newest character is nowhere near Cindy. “It’s a play about a woman impersonator lookalike who lives in a trailer and dresses as Marilyn Monroe,” Michelle added.
She further added that the character is 60 and ‘it’s kind of strange’. The actress further explained that her show is about failures, lost dreams and feeling like life has passed you by. Michelle also added that her new character is very interesting and she is excited to play her. “EastEnders has let me have a month off, so I’m very excited.”
The soap star recently came back to the soap when she rocked everyone by gatecrashing her son’s engagement party. Earlier Michelle said that this time around Cindy is back to ‘make amends’ and ‘get back with her family’.

Adding to it, Michelle said that Cindy might have forgotten that people back at Square have not overcome what she has done, and they are not going to forgive her easily. “Cindy came back and thinks that everyone is going to have open arms and welcome her back, but she gets a very frosty reception,” Michelle added. Collins also added that she thinks that everyone will be like everything is forgiven, but that it is not how things work.
“She’s quite deluded, isn’t she?” she further said. Back at the Walford, Cindy and Elaine will be soon going against each other when George comes in to support his ex-wife. As the new business owner will try to relaunch the pub, Elaine will try to make things hard for her. But will she be able to? What if Cindy makes her tricks backfire on her?
