Patrick’s last conversation with Anthony keeps haunting him. Their Christmas dinner didn’t go well after Patrick found a devastating truth about his son. The father learnt that Anthony had lied to Kat about the twins dying at birth. Soon, he received another shocking news. He learnt that his son’s ex had kept a restraining order on him.
In a fit of rage, Patrick said that he wished Anthony had died instead of Paul. With those words still ringing in his mind, Anthony walked away, heading to the Vic. However, nobody knew that his final walk would end with his death. Initially, Patrick thought that Zoe had killed him. She even surrendered to the police to save Jasmine. It’s because she thought Chrissie was the real murderer. However, the mum had no idea that her own daughter killed her father.
Zoe ended up in prison. Later, Jasmine started to bond with Patrick. Even he loved finding a granddaughter in the middle of his grief. However, he was shattered agai when Jasmine showed up at the funeral. That’s when he learnt that she had killed his son. And it broke him all over again.

Patrick went into depression after everything that happened. During his tough time, Denzel came up with an idea after hearing Tommy talk about it. The teenager then created an AI Version of Anthony. He wanted Patrick to grieve in his own way. Also, even Patrick got attached to it very quickly. Elsewhere, Yolande saw that he was becoming too dependent on it, which worried her.
Later, Kim tries to talk to him next week, trying to pull him back. However, she is unable to reach him at all. So she later turns to Howie for support, feeling helpless.
