EE/Scott Mills contract has ended.

EastEnders: BBC AXES Scott Mills In Brutal Shake-Up, But WHY?

EastEnders fans have spotted a major continuity error after the sudden sacking of Scott Mills from the BBC. The radio presenter appeared in a special flashforward episode set on New Year’s Day. Now we saw his recent departure from the corporation. Hence, viewers wonder how the show will handle his cameo. Will the writers have to change the storyline? Keep scrolling to learn more.

Scott Mills Has Been Sacked

As we know, a flashforward episode aired on New Year’s Day. And when the Branning house was preparing for a huge moment, the radio played in the background. That’s when Mill’s familiar voice came through. He sent best wishes to Max Branning, joking about it being a fifth-time-lucky wedding.

However, now Mill’s BBC contract has ended. Hence, fans are now picking up the odd mismatch. After the sacking, people on social media commented, pointing out that the cameo technically shoudlnt exist in the timeline. Some viewers joked that the writers arre being forced to retcon the whole moment. While others wondered how the team might avoid repeating that audio when the story returns to next year’s setting.

EE/Scott is axed.

A user commented, “Scott Mills has given the EastEnders writers the worst scenario.” Someone else commented, “Of all that could go wrong in 12 months, the radio voiceover of Scott Mills was not what I thought would be the thing to eff up the flashforward!! It’s the easiest thing to fix, I suppose, so there’s that.”

Also, the plan behind the episode hasn’t changed. The storyline will be having different perspectives rather than replaying identical scenes. Hence, this means that the cameo won’t actually cause damage to what’s coming next.
