EastEnders is pulling out all the stops for its upcoming anniversary, and this time, it’s not just about the drama on Albert Square. Fans are in for a nostalgic treat as a special documentary hosted by none other than Joe Swash is set to reveal some of the soap’s biggest behind-the-scenes secrets. This one-off special promises to take viewers on a trip down memory lane and reveal all unseen moments. Let’s dive straight into it!
EastEnders Confirms Return Of Special Series!
The BBC soap has confirmed the return of a popular documentary series that will preview all the explosive storylines that are scheduled to take centre stage in the milestone week. Long-time viewers know that EastEnders Revealed is a series that used to air regularly in the 1990s and 2000s. During these, the episodes took a steady dive into the characters and the storylines of the show.
Earlier, BBC Three has produced several documentaries about major events in the soap since 2006. The most recent amongst them was EastEnders: The Six, a documentary hosted by Joe Swash, which coincided with the iconic 2023 storyline. And now, the popular actor who used to portray the role of Mickey Miller is back yet again to host this year’s series, EastEnders Revealed: The Lock-In.
This series will be a 45-minute special which will air on BBC Three during the anniversary week. Viewers will get to see bts insights into many intriguing storylines including Cindy’s attacker reveal and Denise’s love triangle interactive drama. Furthermore, Joe will be seen discussing the dramatic narratives with soap stars like Jacqueline Jossa, Natalie Cassidy, and Past Palmer.

The special series will also consist of a musical performance from a soap’s superfans whose identity remains unknown.
