Elaine & George Have More Troubles Coming Up!
EastEnders viewers recently saw George Knight and Elaine Peacock tying the knot. Their wedding prep sent the bride-to-be into a frenzy. In a bid to test George’s loyalty, Elaine used Cindy to honeytrap. And even though he passed the test, their wedding still went through a lot before they could finally make it to the aisle. Now that the couple is finally together and trying to look at their bright future. The actors appeared in an interview with Radio Times and opened up about their upcoming storylines.
Harriet and Colin both are pleased that their characters got married. They also expressed their excitement over representing people tying the knot in their 60s. George also shed light on how important Elaine is for his alter ego since she helped him get better after a heartbreak and that she’s been loyal to him always. While talking about Elaine using Cindy as a honeytrap, Harriet said that she couldn’t understand it. But she was accepting of the new sides that her character has to play every day.

She also spoke about how George has kissed Cindy twice before, so she had her own reasons for the same. The actress also noted that Cindy’s wrath will always loom over the couple. And how some family problems just never stop! The pair also shared beautiful memories about their debut soap wedding. They filmed in a beautiful old church in Bushey, near the soap’s studios.
Elaine, the actress, also expressed interest in sharing more screen time with mature girls like Mo and Kathy because she’d like to have more friends around her age. As for Colin, he said that George should start hanging out with some younger ones and be a pastoral figure.
