EastEnders has finally confirmed the death of an all-time favourite character on Christmas Day. Viewers know that the festive season is always an exciting time of year on the soap—the biggest storylines play out during this time. Back in 2022, Mick Carter vanished into the sea to save Linda, but he never returned. However, fans believed that he wasn’t really dead and would make a comeback. Will he? Read on!
EastEnders’ Mick Is NO More!
Christmas on EastEnders always brings the biggest plot twists and when Mick Carter went into the sea to save Linda and never came back- he was presumed dead. But in true soap fashion, we know that characters come back from the dead very easily and we all wanted Mick to not die. Unfortunately, for all of us – our worst fears have come true, and the BBC soap has confirmed his death.
In a YouTube compilation of the most dramatic Christmas Day deaths, Mick’s tragic fate clips were also added. But, fans quickly rushed to the comment section and noted that Mick couldn’t be dead, with one saying, ‘Er… Mick isn’t dead. We all know it.’ All of this comes after Mick actor Danny Dyer asked the soap bosses to bring his character back. With the show approaching its 40th anniversary, we all wanted to see him again.
However, in a recent interview with Metro, Dyer confirmed that his time on soap operas is actually over, and he isn’t looking to join any other soaps too. He also joked and said, ‘Ooh no, don’t fancy a stint in Corrie.’ The talented actor also highlighted that he’s ready for new challenges and is looking forward to new opportunities. ‘That’s what keeps it petrifying and exciting at the same time. You can’t plan it,’ he added.

Ever since leaving the BBC soap, Dyer has been involved in several interesting projects. His fans saw him grow on screen with roles in Mr Bigstuff and Jilly Cooper’s Rivals, among other things.
