Fan-Favourite Ruby Allen Is Returning To Square!
The BBC soap is set to welcome back another notorious resident before its 40th milestone as Louisa Lytton comes back to portray the role of Ruby Allen. Viewers last saw her when she was leaving Walford in 2021, shortly after she claimed to be pregnant with Martin’s child. However, Martin refused to believe after she discovered that Ruby had planted a series of lies that led to Stacey’s wrongful imprisonment.
Ruby and Stacey were once best friends, but this relationship broke down after she got involved with Stacey’s ex-husband, Martin. While Martin remained adamant that Ruby was lying about her pregnancy, viewers learnt that she was telling the truth after a positive pregnancy test was revealed while she was being taken away in a police car. With a potential baby storyline in tow, it’s safe to say that Ruby’s return will cause chaos for Martin and Stacey.
Speaking about her character’s return on EastEnders, Louisa Lytton said that she is thrilled to come back to the Square to revisit Ruby again. As for soap boss Chris Clenshaw, he added, “I’m delighted to welcome Louisa Lytton back to the role of Ruby Allen. Ruby’s departure from Walford left many unanswered questions for Martin and Stacey, and her return is sure to unearth a whole heap of drama for her character and all those involved.”A
