Lauren was dealing with a difficult chat with her father, Max Branning. However, soon her husband, Peter Beale, teased her that he had a surprise planned. But Lauren delays things, which almost ruined his efforts.
Moreover, the surprise was a huge one. Lauren’s grandmother, Cora Cross, returned and made her entrance the way fans remember her. Also, she was played again by Ann Mitchell. Cora used to never like Max. And now proved that nothing has changed. When the Branning man asked about his granddaughter, Abi “AJ Branning Jr, she made cutting remarks.
Also, the returnee didn’t leave a single chance to remind him of his past mistakes. The big one was after his reckless guardianship put AJ in danger. Peter had invited both Cora and Tanya. However Tanya didn’t arrive back. Elsewhere, Cora couldn’t resist commenting on other residents. She called Mark Fowler “Muscles.”
Cora also joked about the “resurrection” of Cindy Beale. Not stopping, she reminded Ian Beale of his past with her daughter Rainie. However, this time she brought in some warmth also. She sat with Lauren and gave her strength. This is because she was attacked last week. Further, Cora encouraged her to step forward with a new business idea with Mark. However, she isnt aware that Mark is hiding something dangerous.

Before leaving, Cora found Oscar Branning. She pulled him and had a light conversation with him. As we all know, Oscar has been drifting. However, Cora still made it clear that she loves him despite the mess he made in recent years.
Hugging him, she later asked him to settle down. Even Ian and Kathy Beale witnessed the moment. Later they ended up sharing a father-and-son expression of love themselves.
