EastEnders fans will see Eve Panesar-Unwin face one of her toughest weeks yet. Her mum, Norma, finally arrives in Walford, but the reunion doesn’t go as Eve hoped. Norma’s attitude creates tension, and soon Eve starts rethinking her plans with Suki. Will this visit ruin everything for them? Keep scrolling to learn more.
Norma’s Arrival Shakes Eve’s Confidence
Eve’s mum, Norma, has arrived in Albert Square. However, Eve only wants to show her mum that her life has changed now and that Suki truly makes her happy. Suki and Eve have decided together that they want to go for adoption.
However, when they meet the agents for the adoption process, they inform that Eve would need her mother’s reference to move forward. Eve has to take her mother’s approval, and it is something she has wanted for years. At first, Norma agrees to give a reference. But later, she questions Eve’s ability to be a good mother. And Eve doesn’t feel right after hearing her mum’s words. Elsewhere, even Suki doesn’t know what to tell her.

Heather Peace, who plays Eve, said Norma was always going to make things difficult. “Norma’s tricky,” she said. “She doesn’t really like Suki and Eve being together and likes to stir things up.” Even when she agreed to give the reference, it felt like she was doing a favour for them rather than support.
Elsewhere, Eve is heartbroken. She wanted her mum to see that she had changed and that what she had with Suki was real. However, after Norma’s comments, Eve begins to doubt herself even more. She starts to think that adopting was a mistake and tells Suki her mum might be right. Suki reminds her they’ve faced worse. But Eve has made up her mind already.
Suki Refuses To Give Up On Eve In EastEnders
Suki isn’t ready to watch Eve suffer again. She wanted her to realise her own worth. Despite trying to be there for her, Eve is still hurt. And so Suki decided to take help from someone else. She asks Lily Slater for help because she knows that the teenager has a good bond with Eve.
Later, Lily tells Eve that she always had the heart of a mum. She even reminds her of how Eve has always taken care of her people, fought for them and also has never turned away from those she loves. For a moment, Eve agrees, but Norma’s words are still running highly in her mind.

Elsewhere, Norma is finding more ways to hurt her daughter. Even after she has agreed to help, she is still behind Eve. And Suki, who is watching all of this, tells Eve that they will go ahead with or without Norma’s blessings. Will Eve ever find strength again?
