EastEnders Reveals The Vic Will Be Sold Following Elaine’s Collapse
Linda reluctantly sold her stake in The Queen Vic for the sake of her sobriety. Elaine was heartbroken and insisted on not letting go of her home away from home.
When Elaine discovered Linda had gone to George for guidance, she felt utterly bypassed. She did everything in her power to maintain control. A bank loan was rejected, and Johnny refused to be her silent business partner.
Driven to her limits, Elaine lashed out. She threw out all the punters from the pub, resulting in another fiery row with Linda. But suddenly, Elaine fainted. She claimed it was a panic attack, but Linda was worried.
Linda and Elaine Put Family First in Tearful Goodbye
Despite their bitter rivalry, Elaine became open with Linda. She confessed to being afraid of life without the pub and how it would affect her future.
Linda became softer and thought about keeping her half. However, another collapse forced everyone to confront reality. This time, Johnny realized something was severely amiss and called for an ambulance.
While waiting, Callum intervened and utilized his connections with the police to obtain assistance sooner. Linda sat with her mother and assured her she would not sell. But Elaine shocked her.
She encouraged Linda to proceed with the sale. Under emotional pressure, she uttered, “Being your mum trumps being a landlady.” The statement cut through the tension and left Linda in tears.
Now that the two women are exiting, The Vic is officially for sale. For more EastEnders updates and spoilers, follow Soap Opera Daily.
